I just sent a couple of those weird files privately.  Just to keep you up to 
date, I have asked my local tech to come (make a house call) and bring a new 
monitor (a 19 inch flat screen), another stick of RAM, and new optical drive 
(or drives).  He should do that some time this week so hopefully I will soon 
have my new Card Program installed.  I did not send the CD's for a trial at 
my friends house as there are so many of them and I really think they are 
not the problem.
I started to send my local tech a description of my problem with the stuff 
in My Documents folder (had it all written out even) and then thought, "Nah, 
GMan will know more than he does"!
