About $150 for a 14 or 15 inch LCD monitor. As for your old monitor, I suggest donating it to a local charity thrift store, such as one that helps feed the homeless or shelters battered or abused women and children. It will do far more good there than the mere pittance you get at a yard sale will do for you. That's *if* you can sell it. There is almost ZERO market for CRT monitors anymore. Consider yourself lucky to get 5 bucks for it (depending on your location and market conditions there). I saw a Wal-Mart flyer while on vacation that offered a 26" RCA LCD HDTV for substantially under $400. I don't remember exactly how much. I do NOT recommend the 42" and 46" RCA HDTVs but the smaller ones seem to do much better. That would be a perfect monitor for the computer room. You could watch TV or a DVD when you get tired of reading PCTT messages. Did somebody say "Christmas present"?
