Don- There is no problem at all with this type of transfer if you have a Retail version of XP. Simply wipe the old system and then install on the new system. Activation should be painless and quick if you haven't had to activate a bunch of times before. (IOW, if you made a lot of hardware changes in the old system.) An OEM version of XP cannot be transferred from the original hardware it was installed on. However, moving a piece of that old hardware to the new machine essentially qualifies it as a major hardware upgrade rather than a machine switch so activation still should go smoothly. You should have no problems. The problem with a Ghost image is that it will look for all the hardware that was in the machine when the image was created and XP does not switch over as easily as 98 or ME.
