-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Microsoft certification

Microsoft and A+ are two different sets of certification.

If you mean Microsoft. There lots of certification for Microsoft. MCP
being one of the first to earn. To earn this you pass one Microsoft
exam. Other certification from Microsoft require the passing of more
exams, MCSE is passing 4 exams, MCSE is 7 exams. There are certain
thatyou take to meet the exams qualification to make those designations.
You can read all about it here
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/default.mspx
The Microsoft learning series of book are good to learn from. If your
new to the certification path of learning, this will help. Once you go
thourgh the book of the exam that you are planning a taking, practice
tests are good to leran the question and answer format of the real exam.
In order to get the most of the learning is to PRACTICE. Setting up a
small network to practice on the things you read about really enforces
the learning and aids in the understanding. =20

A+ certification is a two exam certification the is gender neutral. It
is for a group called CompTIA. They also have other tests as well. But
the A+ is one the of most taken.

You can learn more here http://certification.comptia.org

There are books, but the best way is to take practice exams and learn
from them, and you must PRACTICE the information on the real thing if
possible.   Hands on in invaluable!=20

Good luck, I hope this helps.
