-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool....free and useful

Are you running windowsXP?
Maybe that is why.
Here is what it says:

If you are running either Windows XP or Windows Server 2003
Service Pack 1 (SP1), you can also run the Malicious
Software Removal Tool from the Windows Update Web site or by
using Automatic Updates.

  It is called the same thing -
  Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - April 2005
  (KB893066)
  is in my most recent windows update history.

  yeah, it's the same thing.

  Microsoft will release an updated version of this tool on
  the second Tuesday of each month. New versions will be
made
  available through this web page, Windows Update, and the
  Malicious Software Removal Tool Web site on Microsoft.com.

  No, this is not included in Microsoft Updates.
  You have to download it yourself.
