Sandi,
The other players (QTAlt & RAlt) offer to take over any madia filetypes
they can handle. Since both only use Media Player Classic for rendering
(and MPC doesn't have all of the validation garbage attached), just tell one
of the other players to handle those files that normally want to open in the
regular Media Player. If you set it up right, you'll never hear another
peep out of the regular WMP again.
