-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Making a List

Hi Don,
if you look at the source code on this page I made 4 years ago,
you may find it an easy format to use if you wish to use it.

I would just edit the text in the first box to put in the info for
the next product.

This is the code for one AV program:

html below
<hr>
<hr>

<p>
<b>Aladdin Knowledge Systems</b><br>
<p>
<b>Esafe Desktop/Gateway</b><br>
<P>
Current Version: <nobr><font color="red">
                        EV114-SV287</font></nobr><br>
Supports; Win95/98/NT/2K/<br>
<a href="http://www.esafe.com/esafe/downloads/virusig.asp";>
http://www.esafe.com/esafe/downloads/virusig.asp</A>
<p>
<hr>
end code
It could be easily modified:

<hr>
<hr>

<p>
<b>Category:</b><br>
<p>
<b>Download link</b><br>
<P>

<b>Portable (yes / No / both)</b><br>
<P>

<b>Licence/registation Requiered</b><br>
<P>

<b>Best Feature</b><br>
<P>

<b>Worst or bug?</b><br>
<P>

<b>Operating System/s</b><br>
<P>

<b>Your Rating out of 10</b><br>
<P>

<b>Other Comments</b><br>
<P>

(( Sample entery))
Current Version: <nobr><font color="red">
                        AdAware2008</font></nobr><br>
Supports; Windows NT/2K/XP/Vista<br>

I need to keep this simple. I'm sorting all messages in this thread
to a special folder and when I collect sufficient quantities for a
given category I will compile a nice list, post it to the group,
download all the software and ZIP it up for posting to a file sharing
site or the Yahoo group files area and then share the link with the
group.

_If_ I have time available I will visit other lists such as Gman has
posted links to but I really prefer to collect a list from _you_ the
members here that have used the software and recommend to your friends
here in the group.

The idea of a Forum somewhere sounds cool, but I already own and/or
moderate 5 Yahoo groups. I'm on the verge of giving up some of them
to lighten my load. I am not, at this time, prepared to take on
another group or forum in any capacity.
