    WinXP also has the ability to beep when you turn on the num & caps lock. 
It's in the Accessibility property sheet.  For anyone interested in this, go 
to Start > Settings > Control Panel and double click on the Accessibility 
Options icon.  When it opens, place a check mark in the Toggle Keys area. 
I'll also suggest you go to the General tab and check both notification 
boxes as well as the Administration boxes.  If there's a check in the 
Automatic reset area, uncheck it.  Feel free to test out some of the other 
features in there, too.
