Lil,
The jury is still out on this one for me. I do have .NET framework 1.1
and 2.0 installed already (along with whatever updates there have been for
them) since some of the software I want to run demands those. I
intentionally have been avoiding .NET 3.0 & 3.5 since I have no need for it.
The one .NET update I've been offered in the last couple of days (on ALL
systems including Babydoll's) is just about a quarter of a GIG! And it's
centered around .NET 3.5. I haven't had the time to really do any research
into why they're pushing 3.5 now, especially as a critical update, but I do
know that the package also contains previously released updates for the
earlier versions I already have. I already have those updates, so I don't
yet see ANY need to accept this. Of course, that's subject to change once I
really look into it.
You're talking about two updates though, so I have no idea what else
you've been offered. The one that I'm seeing is labeled as "Microsoft .NET
Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847)
x86" and is a ridiculous 248.4MB in size.
Peace,
Gman
