Tim, don't be confused about this. As far as I know any and all file sharing...P2P... programs which allow us to download copyrighted material are illegal in the respect of just that, copyright infringement. I also use Limewire however, so no preaching from me <BG>. Just to be aware, there was a patch for it made available last month. Have a great day, Scott. ----- Original Message ----- From: "TimR" <timr@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, April 10, 2005 10:30 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Legal Music downloads? Get Limewire. It's basic program is free. I've d/l hundreds of songs from there and the interface is user friendly and quite easy to use. Another Great thing from Limewire is they don't have spyware junk bundled with it. When you first open the program It will have a pop up asking if you would Like to buy the Turbo charged version. Click the 'Later' button and have A grand ol' time d/l your favorite tunes. Just keep ignoring the popup Unless you want to buy it ($20.00) US. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/home.shtml -- <Please delete this line and everything below.> To unsub or change your email settings: //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk To access our Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ For more info: //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/list?list_id=pctechtalk
