Hi Robert,
Thanks for your reply. I did ask her about that when I was there yesterday,
because I tried to remove the Online Services: AOL, CompuServe, Prodigy etc
from the add/remove programs. And of course, Windows asked for the CD in
order to do that.
She had to wait until her husband came home to ask him where the CD and
other items might be. So IF they have them this might be a last resort, one
I will only do after telling them they MUST backup any info they need to
keep.

Do they have any Restore CDs? As a last resort, you might try that. It
should put the lap-top back in the same way it was when it left the factory
at Dell. Careful, though, if there is in information the very much prize,
this going this route may do away with that.
