-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Katrina OT

If the system meets or exceeds your needs and is at a price you are willing
to pay, then YES, it is a good deal. Unfortunately, as Troth mentioned in
another message, these mass produced models never provide enough details to
make a good sound judgement based on technical specifications.

Please go to www.dell.com and configure a system to meet your needs. Then
do a Google search for Dell coupon codes. Compare the final price of a Dell
with the price of the Compaq.

When configuring the Dell do not include anything you do not need. If you
don't need a printer, don't include one. Retail packages typically include
a lot of bells and whistles that are either NOT needed or can be bought
separately for less.

Once you've made the comparison, you will know what sort of deal the Compaq
really is. While you are at Dell, also consider shopping at the OUTLET
store to save even more. And don't forget the warranty. Dell's are very
reasonably priced... compare that also.

Also, there is currently very little software for the consumer that can use
the 64-bit features of the AMD or the Intel 64-bit equivalent, so I would
not even consider 64 vs 32-bit in the comparison.
