I beg to differ, politely, of course. . .this research came out of
research on how people learn, or fail to learn, word
recognition [and other reading skills]. As a person with
dyslexia who nearly failed the first three primary grades,
and the mother of a child with dyslexia, I am delighted
that research like this goes on. . .it gives me hope that my
grandchildren, if they inherit the disorder, will have the benefit
of research that will improve their lives.
