-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Interesting Phenomenom

yes I have. I had some serious bone spurs - plus my degenerated disks -
the bone spurs were growing directly into the nerve. So anything and everything
irritated the nerve.
It's only been 6 weeks now since my surgery - and the spurs are gone - and the
disks are 'fixed' -
but the nerves are still pretty inflamed from the years of abuse.
Everyone keeps telling me that when they calm down, everything else will too.
And that my muscles have to get back into shape too - they were atrophy'd -
altho a lot of physical therapy really helped them.
Now though, the nerves shouldn't be irritated every time I try to exercise or
move my arms.
I'm not sure what / how the chiro will treat me since the fusion.
I was tempted to call and go because of my lower back - but decided to hold
off.
(I think I've put a knot in my lower back from waking up in strange positions
from not being
able to put my head in it's 'proper' position! ). My chiro wanted me to do a
ton of exercises too.
He's more old school - and rough - very very good though. He started out as a
massage therapist.
Which is why he was recommended to me. He can get into the muscles and work the
knots out.

I have not tried acupuncture. That has been recommended, but no one can
recommend a legit one around me.

I am really hoping that a lot of this eases and goes away. i supposedly have
Fibromyalgia - my 1st diagnosis.
I questioned that when all of my symptoms could then be attributed to my neck
also - but the rhematologist
went thru the triggor points yesterday - and boy did they triggor!! so....it's
hard to say what will happen.

I may schedule a massage though! altho - not sure about the gal I went to
before. She was too gentle!!

Cris..have you tried Chiro?..when I can afford it, it stops the pain in my
neck which stops the pain in the shoulder, and so forth...
