To make a long story short, hyper-threading allows the processor to handle multiple threads much smoother. If you're getting a P4, there's no reason you should have one without HT. Know all those times you're running something, like a virus scan, and everything else you're trying to do is running very S-L-O-W cause of the scan in progress? Well, this almost eliminates that. ---Troth -----Original Message----- From: pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Poppy0206@xxxxxxx Sent: Monday, May 31, 2004 4:26 PM To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Intel Pent 4 processor vs Pent 4 proc with HT Hey can someone tell me the diff between Intel Pentium 4 processor and Pentium 4 processor with HP.
