That sort of situation could be determined by reading the FAQ or the user 
forums at the website.  It is rare, but sometimes manufacturers will update 
drivers for newer OSs and not include older ones as well.  Or may quit 
manufacturing a device before a new OS comes out and thus never updates the 
units driver for the new OS.  (In this case, "new OS" might include SP2 or 
newer major updates/patches to XP)

Study the website support pages and forums and I bet you'll find an answer.
