Why not simply email her the driver and have her place in the 
correct folder?  Beats having to figure out what might have 
happened when she tried to download and install.

Hello,

My girlfriend has taken over my Epson Stylus 895 printer and is 
trying to
install the driver for Windows XP, download off of Epson's 
website today.
She has XP on her computer, but she gets an error message saying 
that the
driver software is "not for MS-DOS or Windows".

I downloaded the same file and could successfully install the 
driver om my
XP box.

So, what could have happened in her attempt?

(She lives too far away for me to be able to fix it on the 
spot).
