If you are sure that you have no need for any of the older versions of the 
files you save in there, then it makes perfect sense.  In most cases, the 
method replaces files with the exact same 'version' as what is already 
there.  Only files that have been changed since the last 'backup' are 
affected and the only effect is that the old version has been replaced by 
the newer one.

There IS one thing to consider, however.  If you delete a file you no longer 
need from within the normal Docs folder, the 'old' version will still remain 
in your backup.  It's not a big deal and can be thought of as a sort of 
safety net.  But if the file truly is worthless, you will still want to go 
into the backup and manually remove it there.
