Actually, Don, I felt like you when I got my notebook with Vista on it.  But

its really not that bad, and you will get used to it <g>  Of course my main 
computer has XP on it so I am not completely cutoff. They have a new version

of TweakUI out and I don´t know if it works on Vista, the previous was only 
for 2k, ME and XP.  Windows Secrets website has a huge list of free software

with links to reviews and download.
