Once you have your cable line set up to give you a broadband connection (which 
the ISP/cable company does) all you need to do is connect the cable line to the 
modem and the modem to the computer. So, theoretically, all you need to do is 
move the modem to the new location and it should work. I've heard of some 
companies requiring specific modems, but not sure how true that is.

  Hi, Is there anyone who could walk me through installing the self set up kit 
for my high speed access.  I have it already installed now but am moving into  
a new place with a roomate and therefore changing to her account on her cable.  
I will need to reinstall I guess a self kit set up again.  I did not do my own 
the first time.  But I would like to save 60 dollars if possible
