I may not be able to respond right away as I have to do the write ups for the assignment and Lab. We installed Snort in the lab and the write up will be lengthy and detailed. Feel free to send me an email privately to make sure I haven't forgotten you. :-) Reply in your message Life is what happens in between plans. I apologize as I could not devote the neccessary time to respond in detail to you earlier. > > > OK... I agree that the first should be the XP Pro machine. Response It will contain the necessary infor the other machines will need to function if one is required. But first, you need to make sure that the NIC cards in each machine are functional. I am assuming they are since I am of the understanding that all machines can access the router, there by getting on the net. If they are not functional, you will need to get them to that state first. If you need to add any NIC cards or update the drivers, now is the time to do that. If you need more detail info, let me know and I will see what I can do. > > Is the Network Setup Wizard in XP useful or will I be better off doing it > all manually? Which did you do? Does your router assign the IP addresses automatically (DHCP)? Does any one of the puters you have require a static assigned IP Address? > > > Don -- <Please delete this line and everything below.> To unsub or change your email settings: //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk To access our Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ For more info: //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/list?list_id=pctechtalk
