Ann,
This has happened to me before. Files can get corrupted and dlls do
disapear into thin air :o). If you have the PS CS2 cd, I suggest you
reinstall Photoshop. You could reinstall over the present installation. I
believe (but not sure) this way you keep all your settings. Another way is
trying to get another copy of the "missing" dll (is it msvcrt.dll? If so I
can send to you) and paste it over the one you have. Just drop it into the
folder and when Windows asks you if you want to substitute it for the one
you already have, click on Yes.
I hope this helps!

Lil

I have been running Photoshop CS2 for several years with no
problem...suddenly it started telling me there was a missing file msv or
something like that dll...I would tell it ok and it would load...and work
fine...now it won't even load and task manager says the program is not
responding. I looked and the file in question is in there where it is
saying it is not...any ideas....thanks for any help. CS and version 7 run
fine still with no problem.
Ann
