Mine (Win98 w/ MSOutlook 2000) did the same thing a couple of years ago.
However, when I went to check my e-mail afterwards, "Inbox" was gone and was
replaced with "Lost and Found", with all new incoming e-mails going into a
subfolder called "Recovered Folder 8082". I never did figure out how to get
my "Inbox" back...just learned to live without the lost old e-mails and live
with the funky named inbox. So I'm open for suggestions as well.
