Lets face facts about HP (in my opinion) and a lot of the other big companies. Their first loyalty is to THEIR pocket book and 2nd only to you enough to keep the money flowing in. They have bought out other competing companies, enough, so that they are they have a vast majority of the market share. This reinforces their attitude, reflected in the above statement. We have an HP3210 network all in one printer. The little woman picked it out cause she could print out her colored slides on it. She has trouble printing out the borderless pictures. I liked the aspect that it was a network printer to go on out network (4 computers) with its own network (NIC) card. works great in that aspect. The other aspect of it that I like is that you can print dual sided copies, manually, and they have worked out the process so that it is flawless and almost effortless. (almost, because it prints out one side first and then you have to take the page(s) out and turn them around, not upside down, and reinsert them into the feed tray, press the continue button to finish it. (Those printers that can do this automatically are expensive) The infeed tray is to close to the out feed tray so it is somewhat awkward for my big hands to pull it out and insert paper into it and shove it back in print position.) My biggest complaint is that it goes through the colored ink cartridges (6 color cartridges, which in my opinion are quite small), including the larger black cartridge, to darn quick. Walgreens refill service does not have the ability to refill all the color cartridges. The factory representative that was there when she decided on it, told us that HP does not have to prime their cartridges (Every time a new print document is printed) to get them to print, thus ink is not wasted. He said other companies cartridges have to be primed first. A lot of ink can be wasted in priming. We have not had any break down or operation printing problems (other then that has been described) with it. Life is what happens in between plans.
