   I always make sure the light is blinking before I try it, and it does
blink, but doesn't show in WE or MC when I open it after plugging in the
drive.

What I have to do -
first - make sure the light is blinking on your usb device to show it's
actually connected. I have one spot on my laptop that is finicky. BUT - you
have to open windows explorer AFTER you've put the device in. It won't see
it if it wasn't there originally. Took me a few tries to figure that one
out. Perhaps that is a simple answer?

    Does anyone now if I HAVE to reboot whenever I connect my USB 1 GIG
drive???? If not, then what do I have to do to see it in Windows Explorer or
