-=PCTechTalk=- Re: HELP!!! omg!! Seagate external hard drive won't boot

both were on when the power went out.
the computer was on -the external hard drive was off, when the power came back
on.
now - I moved it to a totally different plug -and got it to stay on. Not sure
if that made a difference - or if it just decided to boot. so - I'm trying to
back it up.
I have a new smaller external hard drive. I'm moving some of it to that for the
time being -will keep it both places for now.
That brings me to -
I'm afraid to turn it off now!
If I move it a little bit at a time via the other hard drive, I can plug it in
to my desktop computer. That one has a DVD burner.
I've never burned files to back up things before.
I can do this with DVD's, right?
Do I do it the same as I would burn a cd?
I figure it will take forever to backup that much on cd's. easier to burn to
dvd's.
Thanks!
Cris

When the power came back on, was the computer on? Or, was it plugged in?
