Yahoo does not do this.  Everything I send to groups via Yahoo come back to 
me from the groups.  And for 20 bucks a year I can POP the mail to OE. 
Y!Pops will do the same for free but I found it to be a bit unreliable. 
Never lost a message but had periods when it would not or could not connect. 
I consideer the 20 bucks well spent.
