I'm not impressed by it neither. The client doesn't even have any =
features other than chatting to people that have a Gmail account. But, I =
like to test out new products.

Be honest with you, I don't like Yahoo, MSN, AOL, AIM, ICQ, Jabber or =
any of those clients. And, not because of the clients themselves, but =
rather because there are just too many different clients and protocols. =
If I want to talk to someone on AOL I need their messenger. If I want to =
talk to someone on Yahoo I need there's. Its all BS, and these companies =
should get together and work out something where all clients are =
compatible with each other.

For now, I use Trillian, so I can talk to all those contacts. But, I am =
assuming that Google will in the future make their client similar to =
Trillian and allow interoperability to all the other clients. Should =
that happen, then maybe I will switch from Trillian. Trillian is good, =
but now they're becoming like ICQ became... over-burdened with too many =
features. They need to go back to basics and make a simple IM client. =
Instant Message and nothing more.
