Maybe.....
If you use your partition manager to create two (or more) partitions on the
drive with the back-up on it, you could keep the backup files on one and
leave one empty and use it for the clone process. The partition would have
to be at least as large as the drive or partition being cloned.
Of course, if it only clones physical drive to physical drives and does not
allow virtual drive cloning (partition to a partition) that idea will not
work either.
