Lionel do you get right into windows before it
freezes? eg. does the toolbar fill up with icons?
Those icons can be a clue to what is stalling the
boot. Sometimes this is caused by windows waiting for
drivers to load or it is caused by the virus scanner
chocking on some exe file. Since the problem started
after you changed/deleted your password it probably is
related to that. I remember a similar problem when I
got rid of the windows logon but I can't find my notes
on it (still looking).
