-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Fonts Tutorial

Sandi,
Before choosing what to do with them, how about putting that extension I
suggested to work on a pair of them. In the Windows Fonts folder, right
click on one of the dupes and select Properties. Go through the tabs to get
a good idea of what they contain. Then, try the same thing on its
counterpart. It may reveal that one of them is inferior in some way to the
other. Things to look for include:

Different version numbers
Move the earlier version file somewhere else temporarily. If all
remains well after using the remaining font for a while, feel free to delete
the earlier dupe.

Different creation dates
Move the older one as suggested above.

A possible shortcut without the shortcut markings
If one turns out to be a shortcut, delete it. The original is already
there.

Peace,
GMan
