-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Firefox, java,binary files???

G, did you download the Penny Lane stationery using Firefox? Did you get a
message saying, "You have chosen to open this file from Cloud Eight which is
a Binary File." The options were Save or Cancel. That is the message I am
still getting when I use Firefox. When I use IE it says nothing about this
being a Binary File and I have the option to run or run from location (which
is the instruction from Cloud Eight).
I did check to see if the latest version of Java is the only one left in
Add/Remove Programs and it is. I could not find the other place where two
were listed and when you went back there was only one.
Tomorrow I will uninstall Java from Add/Remove and then make a clean install
and reboot. I did reboot right after our crossloop session but that did not
alter the behaviors I am dealing with.
It was an interesting experience using CrossLoop and great fun "chatting"
with you just like instant messaging. Sorry I can't report that all
problems are solved!
Sandi
