Cos,
I'm not going to guarantee anything moving it from Win9x to one of the
NT versions (NT, 2000, XP or Vista), but it 'should' work without any
issues.
I'll strongly suggest making a Copy of her Profile folder and keep it
someplace safe so that she (you) can get to those items if the standard
transfer doesn't work as planned. The location I gave should still be
correct for Win2000, so you know where to put the Profile on the new system.
Under Win98, you'll have to do a bit of searching to find it. Run a search
for a file called "sessionstore.js". If you only find one of them, you've
very likely found the location of her Profile. Go to that folder and then
back out (move up through 'parent' folders) until you've reached the Firefox
folder (should be two parent folders up). In that, you should find two
files: profiles.ini & pluginreg.dat. RAR up the profiles.ini file and send
it to me so I can see if it's going to work under Win2000 or WinXP. I have
a sneaky suspicion that you're going to have more work to do before you can
use this profile on the newer system.
Also, let me know what's going on with your network. I may be able to
help you get past that with minimal fuss.
Peace,
Gman
