Ummmmmmmmm.......
I have been asked by my ISP for my password to an email account when they were
troubleshooting a problem and wanted to look at my account. Additionally I
have been asked by my bank to provide such information. I would add to your
very good suggestion and say:
No entity that already has your username/password (& PIN number,
if applicable) will EVER contact you and ask you to reveal those things over the
phone, in an email or by any other method. You may have to provide that
information if you call them and ask for help, but you know it's legitimate as
you initiated the call. If you receive an email or message asking you to call
a
company and they provide a number.......DO NOT call the number provided unless
you verify that the number is correct (look it up, don't assume it's correct).
