Yes, remove the CD or you'll boot back into Super Fdisk again. The interface is so simple even I can understand it. A large window showing the attached drives and a couple of tool bars at the top. All very intuitive and easy to follow. The toolbars are similar to Windows Explorer........... nothing confusing. When you hit File/Exit at the top you'll be dropped back to the A:\ prompt.............. black screen, flickering A prompt. Just remove the CD and hit your reset button and you're off and running. That's a big drive on a USB connection so if it will format it's going to take quite awhile........ patience is the keyword! ------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sandy" <sandy.rick@xxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, September 12, 2008 2:56 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: External HDD format-- Roger > ok Roger...........question! > > IF the drive shows up using super fdisk and i > format it, do i take out the super fdisk CD > before i reboot? > > i have no idea what this program looks > like so i'm nervous about using it. > > Sandy > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Roger" <rcleavitt@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Friday, September 12, 2008 4:33 PM > Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: External HDD format-- Roger > > >> OK Sandy, >> >> If you're ready we can start this little spearmint!! >> >> You have the CD with Super Fdisk on it. >> It should be bootable (mine burned that way anyway) >> Your machine has to be set to boot to a CD first in the order of boot >> options.
