Hi Chris,

I am quite illiterate as far as these issues go. Can you Pl. guide me
step by step on how do I create boot floppies for Win Me?

After this how do I format the External HDD?

Regards and Thanks you very much.

Mihir

Hi.

FAT32 and NTFS are different ways to format a hard drive.
FAT32 can be recognised by Win ME and Win XP while NTFS will not be
recognised by Win ME.

Try formatting the Hard drive using the Win ME computer.
You might need to create a boot floppy and do this using FDISK.

Thanks to all who responded to my prob regarding external HDD Problem.

Just for info can some one advice me what is the difference between
FAT32 and NTSFS. Also, the manual alongwith the drive claims you do not
need any driver for it to work with Win Me.

Regards

Mihir

It looks like this is a repeat email that you sent earlier
and received
a few replies.
In case you never received those replies, they suggested you
check
whether the drive was formatted as FAT32 or NTSFS, and also
you may need
a driver for it to work under WinMe.
