-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Existence of 2nd floppy drive??

Probably detected a drive b:

Dates back to DOS when A: could emulate a second drive or drive b: you just
had to type in B:\ and put in the other disk. DOS would keep track of what
disk should be in what drive.

Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Existence of 2nd floppy drive??

This might be off list, I hope not.

I wrote a routine in BASIC to detect what drives are available in a
person's machine. I do *not* have two floppy drives; just the lone single
3.5 inch floppy drive A.

For some reason, my program is reporting two floppy drives. Can it be set
up in BIOS to reflect two floppy drives even though I don't physically have
such?

Could/would something in BIOS settings cause this?

Thanks,

Robert
