To emphasize what Mike said. If you picked up a script virus of some type, Norton might not pick it up. There are apparently numerous script bugs/viruses that Norton does not scan for. This sometimes lead to java or visual basic not working on certain web pages. I had a variation of the J.No.Close virus a few months ago. Norton would detect it. I went to house trend it picked it up.
