I think what happens at least in my case is this . Im on AOL. . I can block addys of spammers. Once i recorded a particularly OBNOXIOUS casino to be blocked....i then started receiving delivery failures from ME to the jerks only i never sent them anything. AOL uses a service called Mailer Deamon to report delivery failures. Periodically i get theseas stated. Even less often i receive notification from the jerks delivery failure notification service..saying they give up trying to put my mail thru. Thats because they have no real addy to communicate with anyway ...its an automated crap service. It doesnt accept email. I get no other failure reports. I do not have a virus. l believe what is happening is that AOL or Mailer Deamon sends a notification that the jerks mail could not be delivered to me BACK to them ...it keeps bouncing eternally between the two services ... Logically if i had a virus ...for as long as ive had this perpetual reoccuring nightmare ...by pure mathematical odds ...i would have received a failure note from "other" places "my virus " tried to send to and failed. But i never do. It is JUST this one strange instance. ( not to mention other telltale signs ) Even if it was someone elses comp with a virus ...who had MY addy copied form their book....the odds of them also being spammed by this same casino are astronomical. ( and even then i doubt AOL would be confused enuff to send ME a failure notice , since it would not have originated on AOL most likely ) A perpetual war of automatically returned failure notices to two addys...Mine blocked...and their's which doesnt accept mail ( even failure notices ) I know it sounds odd...maybe even unlikely ...but i think quirks exist out there in all those wires...i cant reason out any other explanation. The other thing spammers do is use your OWN name to send mail to you but with their domain on it. That way you A) are more careless ...thinking its something you sent to yourself , and open their dumb ad...AND B ...they have a laff cause you cant block your own name in your email service ...or you wouldnt get ANY mail at all.
