I did that, It was set to use it and I clicked it to not use it. I don't even 
want to use Earthlink dial up but would like to get in, I think something is 
wrong on there end as I now have 3 log in names and none of them will work.

  check your settings in the connection. make sure if you DONT need the area
  code it is not using it or if you DO ..it is using it
