I did it. Thanks Bashful Bob. The advice that helped me most was the bit
about laying the case on its side. I gave the card one more good push and in
it went. And the camera shows up in My Computer. I think I still have some
minor fiddling to do with drivers, but that's for another time.
Back I go to lurkdom...
