Just want to let you know... we have a firewire card in our XP home
computer... a Gateway....
It is an Adaptec combo USB 2 and Firewire....
Thank goodness... it installed and works just fine... never a problem....
Got it on sale too..so that is always a nice bonus..

Sharon,

I have a similar problem to you. My Firewire card is detected by the
computer, but will not "install" (software-wise) completely. I have a yellow
explamation mark in the hardware overview thingy in Control Panel.

Although I cant offer any help, I'm in the same trouble as you and will
follow your case in case a solution pops up. I too use XP Home and it's the
second FW card i cant use.
