Don,
Drive0 will always be the one attached as the Master, in the case of
PATA drives, or the one attached to SATA0 on your mainboard, provided there
is no option for PATA drives (i.e. no IDE connectors). With the info given,
my best guess is that when you swapped cable positions, Drive0 became Drive1
and Drive1 became Drive0. Unfortunately, the files that allow Windows to
show you the boot menu are always placed on whatever partition is using the
letter C:\ at the time the 2nd OS was installed. Since you switched C:\ to
D:\ afterwards, those files are now on the wrong partition and Windows
cannot see them.
While it may not allow you the exact same access you had before (it's
hard to tell from here whether both OS installations are still valid
according to the boot menu file), try changing the cable back again and see
how it boots. If you get the menu, but only one of the menu items works
(try both separately), let us know and we'll proceed from there. If it
doesn't work at all, switch it back again and let us know that too. Of
course, if all becomes right with the world again, I wouldn't mind hearing
about that, either. :O)
Peace,
GMan
