-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Disappearing Address Bar

We had a lengthy discussion about this not too long ago. You may want
to go look at the archives to see whats up.

Basically, M$ decided to get rid of the address bar with SP3.
Fortunately, there is a wonderful replacement for it from Google (of
course! Where else does useful stuff come from?). And it searches as
well serves as an address bar.

Go here: http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2006/05/google-deskbar.html

The second link embedded in the text (PC World) takes you to the
download site. Do not confuse Google Deskbar with Google Desktop.
DeskTOP is a similar tool but is more intrusive on your privacy and
eats system resources.

I've been using the Deskbar since it was first released back in the
early days of Google. I've never had a problem.

Hint: Once installed, open the picklist on the far right and see what
else it can do besides serve as an addressbar.
