This may not be the best advice, Glo, but I personally never worry about 
deleting cookies. I have always been somewhat paranoid about them, and 
for a long time did not have cookies enabled.  I do now, but delete them 
from time to time absolutely.

Others may disagree, and I hope they will tell you (and me), but, again, 
I have never experienced any problem.
