Are you talking about a DVD burner in your computer? If so, Percy is
looking for a stand alone machine as I read it.
Also, if this is relevant, I bought my first VHS recorder in 1983, and i
am still using the tapes that I bought with it. I have probably 70 or 80
VHS tape cassettes, and only one has failed me. I think with reasonable
care they will last many more years. They need to be kept dry,
moderately cool and most definitely away from loud speakers. I have
seen tapes kept on the top of free standing speakers, and the magnets in
them are strong enough to cause damage to the tapes recording..
DVD recording discs are expensive here in NZ, but this URL is worth a
look. I have imported over 30 disks from there at *FAR* less than the
