Judith,
    Assuming your mobo can support up to 4GB, you most likely won't need the 
3GB switch.  Windows will recognize what it can and ignore the rest on its 
own.  The important thing is whether your mobo can actually support 4 x 1GB 
sticks.

    I can't answer the second part of your query until I get to see what DAZ 
says it needs.
