The Norwegian Dawn Cruise ship going to the Bahamas.  They had left out of 
New York and got stranded in Norfolk, VA for mechanical repairs.

where is locally? Which cruiseline?
I would think they'd give them something! our 1st was cancelled due to 
Katrina - and if we booked again (which we didn't) with that cruise line, 
we'd get ship credit. good deal - but their cruise cost that much more than 
the one we are taking!

We had a cruse ship end up locally here due to needing maintanence and then
got stuck here over Thanksgiving and in the middle of a Noreastern storm,
they were not very  happy people.  I think they got a bit of spending cash
and finally an offer for another cruise free of charge.
I cant recall right now which ship it was or from where.
