Yeah we like Ft. Lauderdale. We do the trip in two days (most of it the
first day and stay at this hotel that's out on one of the islands, and then
drive in to Lauderdale the day of cruise.
Costa isn't a bad line at all, reasonably priced, actually now owned by the
same corp that runs Carnival. For the past two years doing the Thanksgiving
week cruise our son and one of his friends travelled for free when we
purchased my and my wife's tickets. It's more laid back than Carnival and
Toga Night is always fun.

Thanks! we are going from norleans because a friend of mine lives there and
is going along (6 of us). We'll stay at her house a few days afterward. The
better deal was out of tampa, actually!
thanks!

On our first cruise two years ago we left out of new orleans will never do
that again. It takes about 4 hrs just to get out of the port and
mississippi. We went western caribbean: cozumel, grand cayman (which was
cancelled due to weather), ocho rios and grand turk. Went with costa
cruises for this cruise because of the great time we had on our second
cruise with costa. The first cruise we went carnival and went to costa maya
and bought land.
Costas got a great loyalty program all by themselves, but they also are part
of the vip cruising family so we get discounts that way too.
Watch out Grand Cayman is expensive in US currency. Their $ is equal to
1.25 of ours.

where did you go on your cruise? how many days?
I'm going in March on a western caribbean - leaving from new orleans - grand
cayman, ccosta maya mexico, cozumel. Before I went to Key West, & Grand
Cayman.
I bought a camera on friday - later in the day - not a black friday special,
by any means. But I got a matched price. It was more of an impulse buy. I
had been wanting it. This weeks ad offered a free photo printer (100.00)
with purchase, so I went in today, and got the free printer! I feel better
now!! <grin> still need a reasonably priced portable hard drive though.

don't feel bad. I missed Black Friday and Most of Cyber Monday. Of course
I had a good excuse I was on a cruise in the Caribbean and it would have
cost as much for the internet connection as the money I would have saved.
I love Margaritaville.

you didn't see any good prices on any small personal external hard drives,
did you? I didn't get any on the black friday sale - missed them all!! tried
for best buy's on sunday - but they were all out. staples would have matched
- had best buy had it in stock. Now - staples has the same one this week -
for about $40 more. I think - maybe not that much. I'll have to look again.
