I have only had XP say a disk needs to be checked up to MAYBE 2 times in the
last 3 years.
I do not have to power down very often either. Maybe once or twice a
year..at most.

HB,
I have WinXP home and it never runs checkdisk. I didn't think XP did that.

Hello all,
This morning, when my mouse and keyboard were stuck, I had to power
down
the computer. When I turned the computer back on, I was expecting CHKDSK to
run, but it didn't. This always happened with previous machines - Win XP
home.
I'm now running XP MCE. Does anyone know why CHKDSK didn't automatically run
after powering off and then on?
Thanks,
HB
